Thousand of overseas tertiary education students generally do not make healthy food choices. Therefore, our campaign is mainly for Insearch overseas students who are far away from their family. From our campaign, you will acknowledge some simple and useful ways to keep healthy by yourselves.

We expect to send the message called “Go for healthy eating” to Insearch overseas students, the key point is to eat 2 fruit and 5 vegetables everyday. Here you can find out nifty ways to get more fruit and vegetables into your day, plus some super simple tasty recipes.

What is Healthy Eating? The meaning of the healthy eating is a Well-Balanced Diet. It’s what you eat most of the time that affects your health most. That means no need for lists of “forbidden foods” that you need to learn to live without. That’s self-defeating “diet talk” that we know has a slim chance of lasting long term!

Reams of research tell us that many of these health problems are avoidable by eating a well-balanced diet and exercising regularly. And the earlier in life you begin, the better.

Here are some general guidelines for making healthy food choices:

Aim for more fruits and vegetables. Eating more vegetables and fruits at meals and snacks helps displace higher calorie – and often less nutritious – foods, without leaving you feeling hungry.

Include low fat protein foods – like lean meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, reduced fat dairy foods, beans, soy foods, nuts and seeds – with meals and snacks whenever possible. These foods will help you meet your daily protein requirements (50 grams per day for women, 63 grams for men), and provide many important vitamins and minerals.

Trim the fat. Most people – particularly those who eat out a lot – eat far more fat than is healthy. Limit foods that are fried, prepared with a cream or cheese sauce, or have lots of added butter or oil.

Opt for whole grains whenever possible. Look for whole grain breads, fiber-containing cereals, brown rice and other “brown” grain foods.

Limit your access to “junk foods.” You greatly increase your odds of overindulging if they’re too easily available.

Don’t skip meals. Give yourself every opportunity to get the good stuff in. Skipping meals during the day also often leads to overeating at night, which is not a healthy habit, particularly for those watching their weight.

After hearing those tips, we will tell you healthy life is not about just think, we can help you get through all the problems and finally achieve your goals.

Go for healthy eating is an awareness campaign in association with the UTS Insearch Student Council dedicated to educating overseas students in Australia to form a correct attitude towards the eating issue in Australia.

The Process of developing the idea of video shooting III

To explain the final idea of our major production, as I mentioned before the idea of how we gonna shoot the video.

Two old friends, they all overseas students which nearly came to Australia in the same time, they haven’t seen each other for a long time. While in one morning student A is having a afternoon running in the park, suddenly he saw his old friend B. Student B is play his PSP or some games in the couch of the park and looking mess.

Two old friends are really exciting of their meeting, and A started to screaming at B :”What happened to you! Look at you! You are such a mess! ”

Then the B telling A how he lived in these days, and he eats junk food everyday, playing computer games and late for school…

On contrary, A is telling B how he kept fit everyday, he eats fruit everyday and doing exercises.

By comparing the two people in the video, we let the audiences choose which one of them would you want to be.

The Process of developing the idea of video shooting II

After we settle down the idea of our campaign, the coming things that we need to solve are the research and design; how we gonna design our website and our video and what kind of research do we need.

The content detail is really important because it’s about what we telling our audiences, what kind of information do we convey to them, and these information must be interesting and unique that will draw the attention of the audiences.

So after done a large numbers of research, we quoted the information which called “Go for 2&5”, this campaign is fairly successful because it give the audiences a message that do not make you life so complicated, only eat 2 fruit and 5 vege. you can keep healthy life. That idea is the one that we want our target audiences to know, because overseas students have financial limitation, none of them would spend a lot of money on eating, so spend less money still keep healthy, this idea can easily draw people’s attention.

So we settle our campaign name is “Go for healthy eating” as well as our campaign slogan.

The Process of developing the idea of video shooting I

The idea of our major project was coming from the convenient lunch box recently is really famous in Asian countries, cheap, health, convenient and colorful lunch box. These box brings up people’s appetite and also good for children with their eating habit.

So at the very beginning, our group was thinking that promoting those convenient lunch box to the kids in primary school. But after talked to Michael Whittle, he told us it is illegal to do some research to the kids; if we really want to do this we should get the agreement from the parents. After our consideration, we changed slightly different of our target audiences to the young mother in UTS, and we will try to find some young mother organization in order to finish this campaign.

And we will do some survey about this lunch box, in order to find out if those lunch boxes were accepted by these young mother.

After we settle down the main idea that we are going to do for our campaign, several problems are coming out, such as the research about this topic is a world that we completely unknown and not familiar. And this topic is too narrow that only targeted at the young mother.

Finally, we think out that to change our target audiences to the overseas students, which is the kind of topic we know so much, even all the group member ourselves are our own target audiences.

Other media products

Our group decided to do some other media production, such as poster, T-shirt, bookmark and postcard. No matte what k

ind of media products we are chosen, the design is all based on this picture below.

T- shirt : The design of the T-shirt is simple, we are using a white T-shirt and have it painted with this pic and our logo below”Go for healthy eaing”
